Initial Situation & Problem
Austria’s leading spa and health resorts – VAMED Vitality World want to offer their guest the possibility to book a lounger in the exclusive Relax area. Customer needs:

  • Guaranteed entry ticket
  • Graphical overview plan of the Relax area
  • Selection of bath robe and shoe size
  • Purchase of additional products (e.g. Champagne)
  • Reservation of additional services (e.g. Massage)

Project Targets

  • Central WebEngine to book a lounger for all spa and health resorts
  • Easy adaptable WebEngine Design to match CI of each spa and health resort
  • Multi-Channel in responsive Design (Desktop, Kiosk, Tablet and Smartphone)
  • Multiproperty WebEngine with a powerful backend
  • Optimal usability for graphical resource selection process on all devices

Project Description
The “Lounger Booking Webengine” allows everybody to book the perfect day in a spa & health resort. What is it needed for?

  • a cozy lounger with a nice view
  • Bath robe and shoes in the right size
  • a favorite newspaper at the lounger
  • a sparkling bottle of champagne with some fruits at the right time
  • a relaxing massage to perfectly complement the stay

The TAC credo “designed to simplify” is reflected in all products and was also our inspiration to build a completely new online lounger booking system for the VAMED Vitality World. One of the biggest challenges was to integrate the lounger booking with the standard TAC WebEngine and create the possibility to cross-sell products, spa reservations, gift certificates and entry tickets. The TAC WebEngine is a cloud based system which can be used by all TAC customers with their individual corporate design. Mobile Banking App

Initial situation & Problem
When the project started in September 2013 our client, Credem Bank, had an app for iOs developed in 2011. Customers of the bank were asking for a new powerful and easy to use app for all major mobile OS.

Project Targets
The main goal of the project was to develop an app that met the customers’ needs and to help Credem Bank by supporting its evolving strategy in the digital touchpoint. Within this project Credem Bank has invested in a human-centered approach as a driver for innovation and was able to respond to its customers’ real needs.

Approach & Strategy
Credem Bank provided an initial brief for the new app in which they requested a strong involvement of customers in every phase of the design process. With the project stakeholders, we identified the most suitable activities for involving customers both in the initial discovery phase and, later on, in the prototyping steps.



Project Description
In this case study we present how Usertestlab supported Credem Bank in the process of designing a new mobile banking app. We planned and carried on the following key phases of the project:

• Co-design session with the internal project team to define how the app could contribute to reaching the business goals
• Co-design sessions with the bank customers to define the app functionalities and contents that matched their needs
• Design guidelines produced by cross-checking data emerged from both co-design activities
• A first round of usability tests on functional prototypes to validate the design choices
• A second round of usability tests on graphic prototypes to validate the iteration after the first round and the graphic interface. During this second round we involved participants who did the co-design sessions to show them how their inputs were included and implemented in the app
• A thorough review of the graphic interface to optimize the outcoming interaction. The project results were outstanding, with great reviews of the app in its three versions (iOS, Android, Windows Phone).
