As the international user experience team in Alibaba, we design ecommerce platforms for consumers and small & medium-size businesses around the world. As a bridge between consumers and business, we integrate end users’ needs with business requirements. Through creative solutions, we provide end users useful, usable, and desirable ecommerce platforms with good brand experience. In this presentation we use real world examples showcased how user experience team impacted business directly.
Paul, UED Director, leads the International User Experience team at Alibaba Group. The mission of the team is to design user-friendly ecommerce platforms to serve consumers and small & medium-sized businesses around the world. Paul has 15 years of work experience, including tenures with Augmentum, eBay, Fatbrain.com, SDRC, and Motorola China. He has a Ph.D. of Human Factors in Industrial Engineering from Purdue, M.S. and B.S. from Tianjin University. Paul is also a coauthor of the book “Human Computer Interaction: User Centered Design and Evaluation” in Chinese.
