This session will walk you through the unique and successful application of mobile eye tracking technology to analyse multiple process flows within the supply chain industry. We will see through the eyes of the warehouse worker the pain points associated with using voice and handheld solutions to perform receiving, put away, picking, replenishing, and outbound tasks. We will also bring to light that by refining the way in which a worker performs their task will bring around greater successes for the warehouse’s operational health.
Page has always been intrigued and driven by the challenge of understanding people, and then finding ways to communicate their needs, behaviours and motivations to product development teams to better enhance peoples’ lives. Her curiosity about how and why people do what they do, coupled with her passion for design and engineering led her into the field of design research many years ago. Graduating with a degree in industrial design and continued education in cognitive science and human computer interaction, Page merges knowledge, experience, and creativity to bring the voice of the end user to the design table on behalf of companies such as Medrad, Bayer, Vocollect, and presently Heavey RF Group.
