Between organization and client: How can the UX team become a focal point of both

UX has been going on in the hi-tech industry for almost 40 years under different names. Within these 4 decades the term UX and its methodologies have become known worldwide. Today, you won’t find a product with a user interface that wasn’t UX designed to a certain level (hopefully).

Still, there seems to be some contradiction between the well-established importance of UX to the product and the real influence/ power the UX team is often given in organizations.

The majority of organizations today (mostly B2B products), still haven’t done the mental leap from technology lead solutions to properly implemented UCD. A large number of them still don’t see their user interface as the true interface with their users. Most of them aren’t concerned that their UX team isn’t meeting their users (a must, even in B2C products). Some of them, aren’t really listening to their UX teams.

The only group that an entire organization does listen to (again, hopefully) is the clients. And clients, as I found out, love to talk and listen to UX people.

In this talk, I will discuss the strategies I’ve been using for the past 9 years that enable the UX team to formulate close and productive kinship with the organization’s bodies, build close client relationships that last, and use this new unique position between org. and user to optimize the UX of the product, the organizations UCD processes, and the product itself.

UX Lead and Research, Cyber Security Company

Noam is a cognitive psychologist who specializes in UX design, UX research, and ergonomics.

He has vast experience in various industries such as enterprise, retail, government, military, cyber-security, etc.

Years of experience and insights from these different industries gave Noam the tools to effectively move organizations to an efficient and optimal UX process.


Noam currently holds the role of UX lead and research in a major global cyber-security company.

Prior to this, he worked as a UX Architect and researcher for several major companies such as HPE, Tufin, Nice, NCR (retalix), etc.

He also played the role of an ergonomics researcher on a major U.S. Air force project for 3 years,

Conducting eye opening experiments in the fields of visual fatigue, cognitive resources, and role categorization based on physiological and cognitive traits.


As a dedicated family man, Noam spends most of his free time with his three children and wife.

He’s been writing music and lyrics for most of his life, and would probably make it his primary occupation, was it possible.
