Key Researcher Virtual Development, Project Coach, Virtual Vehicle
Martin is Key Researcher for Virtual Development and responsible for project management at the VIRTUAL VEHICLE with more than 25 years experience in the automotive industry. He entered the field of development and research at TAKATA-PETRI AG in Ulm, where he worked as designer, project- and program manager on seatbelts. After developing a very successful generation of seatbelt-retractors, he joined MAGNA STEYR in Graz where he lead the seating and restraint systems group and managed interior developments for several customers, such as the interior of the new FIAT Bravo, a completely virtual developed vehicle. Having gained deep insight on development and production methods in automotive business, he was responsible for all further method developments at MAGNA STEYR. After a short intermezzo as Engineering Manager at Roto Frank AG, Martin manages several research projects in the VIRTUAL VEHICLE. He is now coordinator of the big scale (>1000PM) Horizon 2020 – Factory of the Future (FoF) project “Worker centric workplaces in smart factories (FACTS4WORKERS)”.
