Description
In many companies, the human-centered approach is still reduced to the product context. Although seasoned UX professionals are aware of the challenges and want to be on an equal footing with management, as soon as they actually sit down at the table, they fall back into their usual technical thinking patterns and fail to bring other domains into the discussion. The result: important ideas go unheard and strategic opportunities remain untapped. This presentation shows why human-centered strategy starts long before product development and must be anchored as a company-wide mindset. Participants will learn how to clearly distinguish strategic guidelines from tactical measures, why strategy does not end with the product but encompasses culture, organization, experience management, and people—and how a human-centered strategic perspective helps to sharpen one's own role, gain influence, and consciously develop one's own career. This talk is a wake-up call for UX professionals who want to be more than just method experts: an impetus to develop genuine strategic effectiveness.
